Professional Consultation for Therapists

Focused support for therapists building sustainable private practices.

Is Consultation Right For You?

Running a private practice involves more than clinical skill. Many therapists reach a point where questions about fees, licensure, boundaries, or burnout start to pile up, and informal advice no longer feels sufficient. Professional consultation offers a focused space to think through decisions with clarity, confidence, and support.

Consultations are designed to hold both the logistical and emotional sides of practice decisions. Sessions are practical and collaborative, with the goal of helping you leave with clarity, direction, and decisions you can stand behind.

Consultation Focus Areas

Practice Structure and Strategy

Guidance around private pay, multi state licensure, the counseling compact, scheduling, business setup, and longer term planning.

Money, Boundaries, and Self Trust

Support with fees, sliding scale decisions, free client consultations, people pleasing patterns, and setting rates you can maintain.

Practice Sustainability

Space to address burnout, isolation, niche development, and the emotional realities of running a private practice.

Consultation FAQ

Professional consultation is designed for associate and licensed therapists who are building or refining a private practice and want focused guidance around practice decisions and boundaries. This includes therapists at various stages of practice who are navigating practical questions rather than seeking clinical supervision.

No. This is professional consultation and does not count toward licensure hours or supervision requirements. Consultation focuses on practice structure, business decisions, boundaries, and sustainability rather than clinical oversight.

Yes. Pre-licensed therapists are welcome as long as they are seeking consultation rather than supervision and understand that this does not replace required clinical supervision.

Common topics include private pay practice development, multi state licensure and the counseling compact, fee setting, sliding scale decisions, boundaries with clients, free client consultation structure, scheduling, business setup, burnout prevention, niche development, and the emotional realities of running a solo practice.

A 30 minute consultation is best for one focused question or decision. A 60 minute consultation is better if you have multiple related questions, are weighing bigger practice decisions, or want more space to think things through.

At this time, consultations are offered as one time, time limited sessions. You may schedule multiple appointments as needed.

Follow up support is not included as part of the consultation unless agreed upon in advance. This helps keep the work focused and clearly bounded.

Consultation can still be helpful if you are considering a transition to private practice or weighing whether it makes sense for you. Many therapists book sessions while they are still deciding.

All consultations are scheduled and paid in advance through the Calendly booking system. Sessions are held via Google Meet.

A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice or missed appointments are not refundable.
